Final Project 2019 Wk. 8

This week I made giant leaps in development. Since I created the database I have been able to create and implement several core features of the project. Listed below are the features that are up and working as intended as of now.

Accounts: As of now you are able to create an account by providing a user name, email, and creating a password. You cannot upload a profile picture yet, but that feature is coming soon.

User Feed: When you log into your account, you are now able to see your posts as well as the posts from the account that you follow.

User Profile Page: When a user chooses to go to their respective profile page, they are able to see all of their own posts in one place. As of now, you are able to update your bio from here as well. In the future, you will be able to also update your profile picture and any other information that you would like. When you visit a profile page that doesn’t belong to the user, they will be able to follow and unfollow them as they please.

Searching: You are able to search for not only posts, but also profile using key words. As of now this feature works as intended, but it bring up all possible results at once. In the future I will implement a way of condensing the results.

Adding Posts: There is now a button to add posts to your feed that allows for both text and image input. While the image input doesn’t post to the database yet, it will be able to in the near future.

Many features have been added to the project, but there is still a lot more to go. At the pace that everything is going though, there is no doubt in my mind that it will be up and running completely with enough time to test it with other users.
