This week is the first week of the semester and I need to come up with a project for the class. It is set up in such a way that it is almost impossible to not do a store and meet all the requirements needed for the project. However, I am going to do my hardest to try and make it so that I can make something else instead.
Specifically, I want to make a social media application. I feel as though that would not only be a good example of my skills as a software developer and designer, but it would also be a fun experience. To me, that is the most important part, finding a project that would be fun for me to make. Because if it isn’t fun for me to do, I won’t want to do it, making my grades suffer in the long run.
It isn’t so much making the application that is the problem here, I have no doubt in my mind that I am able to do that, it is making the application meet all the requirements. There are certain things that the application needs to do in order to get all the points available. Making those functions and having them work isn’t the problem, it’s finding a place for them to fit into the application that I’m having a problem with. The main thing being having multiple levels of security. I have an idea of how to implement these, but I will have to do some more brainstorming to make it feel more natural within the applicaion.
